As a Graduate Assistant in Virginia Tech’s Office of Government and Community Relations, Haley supported the university’s efforts in local, state, and federal affairs. Here, she tracked legislation, drafted policy briefs, and monitored engagement with elected officials and community partners. She was responsible for identifying and monitoring legislation related to the university’s priorities, enhancing operational effectiveness, and supporting relationship-building across multiple levels of government.

In 2024, she was selected as a Governor’s Fellow in the Office of Natural and Historic Resources under Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin. In this role, she supported environmental and land conservation policy initiatives and contributed to streamlining the team’s organizational processes and strategic planning efforts.

Haley has also worked with the Virginia Farm Bureau as a Farm Link Coordinator and AgPAC Intern, where she led outreach efforts connecting retiring landowners with beginning farmers and supported the organization’s political and grassroots advocacy. Her early experience includes a congressional internship with U.S. Representative Ben Cline, where she gained firsthand exposure to federal legislative processes and constituent services.

She earned both her Master of Public Administration and B.A. in Political Science and History from Virginia Tech.
